Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Jake Frandsen
Jake founded TaskMasters and approves every accountant the company places before a client ever meets them.
TaskMasters exists because the accounting talent most US firms never see runs far deeper than it looks from the outside.
Jake spent several years working overseas, close to a market that turns out degreed accountants in far greater numbers than the firms hiring from it ever realise. He watched capable people take work well below what they were trained for, while small US firms a continent away told him they could not find anyone at all.
The gap was never talent. It was the absence of anyone doing the matching properly: checking the degree, testing the software, and staying involved after the contract was signed.
TaskMasters started as the answer to that, and the standard Jake set at the beginning has not moved since. Every accountant the company places is degreed, tested on live software before a client sees them, and backed by a guarantee that puts the cost of a bad fit on TaskMasters rather than on the firm that trusted it.

Working with Jake
What a fit call covers
- 20 minutes
- The role you need filled
- The software you run
- The hours you need covered
Every placement starts with a short call. Jake uses it to scope the role, the software your books live in and the hours you need covered, so the candidates you meet are already matched to how you work. Nobody is put forward until that picture is clear.
From that call, a dedicated bookkeeper is usually embedded in 14 to 21 days, and faster when a deadline forces it. Each one is degreed, QuickBooks-certified and skills-tested on live work before you interview anyone.
If the fit is wrong in the first 30 days, TaskMasters re-vets and places someone else at no cost, or refunds every wage you've paid plus half your setup fee. Your worst case is $500.
In his words
Why this work
A firm that has been burned once will tell you hiring offshore does not work. What did not work was the process around it. Get the vetting right, stay in the room afterwards, and it holds.
